I know that this Trevor bigot has been chasing posters/foodies away from Houston.eats for quite a while. While I haven't promoted it, I started a Facebook page called Houston Eats over a year ago and never have made it public yet. I did that primarily to keep someone else from doing it and having it deteriorate into what the Google Group Houston.eats has become. Any of you who are interested in moving over there are welcome to do so, if you are interested in talking about food.

I also have Culinary Houston Facebook page and it has over 500 "likes". I would love to see conversations started on it, too. I am the all-time highest poster here in Houston.eats, but stopped posting when the trolls took over.

The Houston Eats group is actually Houston-Eats!; it doesn't show up
when searching for Houston Eats.

Strangely, I just searched for it as "Houston Eats" and the above just came up.

Thanks, Jack. Houston.eats used to be an active newsgroup group, and we
went out to restaurants, together. I met Donna, who used to post here,
on a cruise in September, it was nice to meet her after 18 years.
Anyway, thanks again.

Houston Eats is alive and well on Facebook. There IS a "Houston-eats", but it is small and not the one I'm referring to. I took the name Houston Eats on Facebook over three years ago, but didn't promote it until a month ago. It now has nearly 400 members including all major newspaper, magazine and blog writers/reviewers. I post links on it daily to all new food/restaurant articles and members post their pics from restaurant and home meals. I allow no Nazis, bigots or haters, so there are no distractions like the trolls who drove me out of the Google Group. If you are on Facebook, please join Houston Eats. Even vonroach would be welcome under whatever name he uses on Facebook. I've seen his posts on the Houston Press "Eating Our Words" blog.

Houston Eats now has nearly 1200 posters on Facebook. Lots of food pics and reviews of restaurants there. Again, members of Google Groups Houston.Eats are welcome there and there are no Nazi bigots therein do in this group. If you are on Facebook, you are welcome.
