Driving by Andros on Fondren the other day, we noticed that the sign was
broken and that there was a "for lease" sign in the window. Anyone know
what happened? Did they close permanently or did they just move somewhere
else?

Hello Becky:

Owner tried to pass the business on to a Greek Couple they defaulted bankruptcy and ran the place to the ground, and then some Arabs tried to convert it into a Lebanese restaurant and they defaulted in a couple of months and went under. Then the owner and wife had to open the store up again just to survive and to make ends meet during their golden years. I think they got out of the restaranteur business all together. Really was a great place, I recall the entire family worked in that place at one time including their son who later left the business to pursue a different profession. Today it is a auto mechanic shop.
